New Zealand Conservation Authority nominations sought

December 21, 2016

Nominations for membership invited

The Minister of Conservation is seeking nominations for the four public positions. Appointments will take effect from 1 June 2017, and will be for a term of up to three years.

Experience working on a committee or board would be useful and an active interest in conservation, natural sciences, or recreation is strongly recommended.

To get a good understanding of the Authority’s functions and expectations of members before submitting a nomination, please contact Dr Rick McGovern-Wilson, the Authority’s Executive Officer, email rmcgovern@doc.govt.nz or phone +64 27 200 5716, or contact current or former members. Please note that current conservation board members will need to resign from the board if appointed to the NZCA.

Written nominations may be made by any person or organisation. Additional information and nomination forms may be obtained from any Department of Conservation Office or from Rick McGovern-Wilson. Nomination forms are to be sent to the Minister of Conservation c/o the address on the nomination form.

Closing date for nominations is Friday 27 January 2017 at 5 pm.
