Outdoor Access Commission review of Macetown Road

Apr 17, 2025 Progress is being made on one of New Zealand’s oldest longstanding and colourful public access cases. Some of our cases have been on our books for many years. Resolving public access can often be a long and careful process. However, few issues have been around as long as attempts to secure access along Macetown road, winding into the hills above Arrowtown. The road provides access to the Macetown Historic Reserve and other open spaces which many groups use for swimming, walking, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, 4WDing and other activities. NZFWDA National AGM 2025 Information and Registration Pack

Apr 09, 2025 The New Zealand Four Wheel Drive Association has asked the Central Zone 4x4 clubs to organise daily 4WD trips for attendees of the National AGM. These trips will run over the five days prior to the AGM, which is on Saturday 24 th May 2025. The 4x4 trips will run from the 19th of May till the 23rd. We have organised 8 trips over the 5 days ranging from Shiny Orienteering style through to full on Hard Yakka winch trips for those that like to get muddy.
