Akatarawa Forest Damage

Post by Andy Cockroft on Mon May 24, 2010 10:37 am

Seems the hoon element gets everywhere. The sad thing is that (a) it looks like it was during an ARAC approved event, and (b) it was Association Members.

Hard to see, but several vehicles have been trying to climb from the stream-bed at Norm's Crossing back on to the track again. All this does is damage the track and could eventually lead to its closure.

Please take care - there are plenty of places to challenge vehicles without screwing up for everyone else

Working bee to fix the damage and alter the base of the climb to make further attempts impossible?
I know this doesnt address the real problem but at least it fixes the symptom.
I hear the train a comin Its rollin down the line. I only hope the rails and sleepers are all installed in time
